These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ldva.on.ca (the “Site”), operated by Leonardo Da Vinci Academy of Arts and Sciences (“LDVA”, “we”, “us”), 901 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario M6A 1C3. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
About the Site
The Site provides information about LDVA and its programs and lets families contact the school and book tours. Information on the Site is general and may change. Nothing on the Site is an offer of enrolment or a guarantee of a place, program, schedule, or fee. Enrolment is governed by LDVA’s separate enrolment agreement and school policies, which prevail over the Site if they differ.
Who may use the Site
You must be at least 18 years old, or the parent or legal guardian of any child you submit information about, to use the contact form or book a tour. By submitting an inquiry you confirm you have the authority to do so and that the information you provide is accurate.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site unlawfully or in a way that harms others;
- submit false, misleading, abusive, or spam content through the contact form or booking tools;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or other users’ information;
- introduce malware, scrape the Site at scale, or interfere with its operation; or
- impersonate LDVA, its staff, or another person.
We may block access or remove content if we believe these rules are broken.
Intellectual property
The Site’s text, images, logos, crest, graphics, layout, and code are owned by LDVA or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view the Site and print or share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, such as considering enrolment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse any part of the Site, or use LDVA’s name or crest, without our written permission.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to and uses outside services, including Calendly for tour booking and Google for analytics, maps, and embedded YouTube videos. These are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Inquiries and communications
When you submit the contact form, email us, or call, you ask us to contact you about your inquiry using the details you provide. We aim to reply promptly but do not guarantee a response time. An inquiry does not create a student file, a waitlist place, or any obligation on either side. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Tour booking
- Booking. Tours are booked through Calendly. A booking is a request that is confirmed when you receive a confirmation message from Calendly or LDVA.
- Accuracy. Please give accurate contact details and the number of people attending so we can prepare for your visit.
- Changes and cancellations. Please use the link in your confirmation message to reschedule or cancel as early as you can, so the time can go to another family.
- Our right to change. We may reschedule or cancel a tour for reasons such as school closures, weather, illness, or staff availability, and will contact you using the details you gave.
- Visitor conduct. Visitors must follow staff directions and LDVA’s visitor and safety procedures while on school premises. We may end a visit if these are not followed.
- Cost. Tours are free of charge.
- No guarantee of admission. Attending a tour does not guarantee admission or priority for a place.
Disclaimers
We work to keep the Site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we do not guarantee that program, schedule, or staff information is current at all times. Please confirm details with the school before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LDVA and its directors, staff, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any linked service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer protection law.
Accessibility
We want the Site to be usable by everyone and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, in line with Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update the Site or these Terms at any time. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at any time, including for misuse.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the Site or these Terms will be heard by the courts of Ontario, and you and LDVA submit to their jurisdiction.
General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and LDVA about use of the Site.
